root kann sich nicht einloggen

hallo zusammen,

ich kann mich nicht als root bei meinem ftp server anmelden. smart ftp sagt immer login Login incorrect.

Root Login ist auf on..

root ist per default als login gesperrt _> sicherheitsloch
geb am besten dein root passwd hier im forum bekannt , wir nutzen dan deine m aschiene als Forum MIRROR

Alle anderen User können einloggen?
Es ist sehr gefährlich "root" einen Zugang zu gewähren, deswegen wird es, wie es auch "mshorst" schreibt, per default verhindert.
Außer "RootLogin on" könnte auch noch "UseFtpUsers off" notwendig sein - probiere das mal.

Ich weiß nicht, was Dein Problem ist, aber ich finde Deine Flames hier in den Foren für "nicht angebracht".
So manches Posting mag trivial und unnötig erscheinen, genauso wie so manch unnötiges Zitat (s.o.!).
Solange jedoch jemand anständig fragt, braucht man ihn nicht angreifen oder verspotten.
Im Bedarfsfall findest Du aber bestimmt jemanden, der Dir gerne hilft, Dir selbst in den Hintern zu beißen...
Gleich vorweg: ich werde mich zu dem Thema nicht weiter äußern.
