Hallo Zusammen !

Also ich würde mir auch gerne mal den ProFTPD auf meiner Suse 9.0 installieren, doch irgendwie komme ich da nicht sehr weit.

Installiert habe ich es via RPM Paket von ftp.remsnet.de mittels Webmin, welches mich ersteinmal auf eine Fehlermeldung hinwies das xinitd.d installiert werden muss. Nachdem ich dies machte installierte ich die RPM erneut. Webmin meldete eine erfolgreiche Installation.

etc/proftpd.conf ist vorhanden, ansonsten taucht noch
etc/xinetd.d/proftpd auf .....

Wie nun weiter , Reboot !?

Egal welche Parameter ich eingebe (wie proftp -l , -nd9) gibts nur so etwas hier ....

Irgend einen Tip wie ich weiter vorgehen kann !?

Wo gibst du das denn ein?
1. Guck dir die proftpd.conf an.
2. Suche die proftpd-Executable (find / -name proftpd -print)
3. Guck dir das Debug Log an.
4. Schmeiß Webmin weg.

er startet auch irgendwie das xinetd file fuer ProFTPD. Aber das tue ich mir nicht an....

bisher sucht er noch .... hatte auf /etc/xinetd.d/proftpd ausführen gesetzt und es aufgerufen (dachte das wäre die Datei zum ausführen  :oops: ).

die /etc/xinetd.d/proftpd habe ich mir nun mal näher angeschaut und dort wird der server in user/sbin gesucht ... da is aber nix !

proftpd.conf .. da habe ich nur den port geändert und das es als root/root laufen soll.

Ich warte jetzt ersteinmal und hoffe das proftpd noch mal irgendwo gefunden wird ...

nicht user/sbin gesucht ... sondern /usr/sbin/proftpd

Hallo,

default Install ist standalone

bei xinetd nutzung eingeben :

chkconfig proftpd xinetd

proftpd-1.2.10rc3 RPM´s für Suse9.0 sind in arbeit.
Die RC3 wird auch die letzte sein die unter Suse8.2 bereitgestellt wird da das letzte altsystem diesesn monat bei mir plattgemacht(geupdated ..) wird.
