have try to use proftp under aix 5.x. Using a tarfile - do a tar -xvf ...
all files seem to be in the appropriate locations
e.g. /usr/local/bin  or  /usr/local/sbin
      /etc/proftpd

and so on

I've replaced the ftp line in /etc/inetd.conf like described and do da refresh -s inetd, but when I try to use it, there some strange error messages like:

Cannot find config file and others

Can some point me to how to install and use proftpd under aix 5.x
