Suse: Suse: openSUSE , ganz neuer Sony VAIO Laptop VGN-N11S/W schläft ein ;(

hallo, ich habe seit ca. 3 Monate auch änlichech Problem. habe schon alles probiert, jedoch zweifele ich schon dass es überhaupt eine Lösung gibt. ich würde mich SEHR FREUEN wenn jemand hier helfen kann.

Das System schläft einfach nach unbestimmte Zeit ein, egal ob ich was mache oder nicht oder bei leerlauf. ich kann leider nicht bestimmen ob es an bestimmte Software oder Programme liegt, denn passiert immer wieder bei verschiedenen Programme. (meistens wenn ich Skype oder SeaMonkey verwende , aber auch nicht nur dann)

Das System ist mit openSUSE (suse 10.2) , ganz neuer Sony VAIO Laptop VGN-N11S/W.

Natürlich dachte ich mir erst , dass es an ACPI liegt und habe es aus den Runlevel (2,3,5 ) entfernt. Habe ganz ohne Powersafe , später auch mit APMD und was weis ich noch getestet.
Also Ergebnis gleich NULL ;(

Nun weis ich leider nicht was noch sein könte, ich habe eine Ganze Menge überflüssige Programme entfernt und es passiert immer noch . Manchmal arbeite  ich 12-13 Stunden ohne Probleme, manchmal Stürz die Kiste 5-6 mal pro Stunde.

Es passiert auch , wenn ich die kiste im leerlauf lasse und sich der Display ausschaltet, dann wir die SELTEN wach. Meist passiert nichts  und ich muss reseten .

der Bootvorgang ist perfekt , dauert keine 30 sek., alles wird erkannt und angeblich gibt es KEINE Probleme !

Eine Idee?

das paket spicctrl habe ich gerade nachinstalliert.
mein kernel ist z.Z 2.6.18.8-0.1-default .

die einstellung unter Systemverwaltung ->Sony Vaio Notebook, kenne ich zwar, da ist aber nicht viel zu einstellen.

und hier ist meine /etc/pm/config. Was muss ich denn genau hier eintragen ? S2RAM_OPTS="" ?

ok danke.

bei mir hat es mit: s2ram -f funktioniert, also habe ich -f  in /etc/pm/config
wie folgt eingetragen:
S2RAM_OPTS="-f"

ist dies korrekt?

suspend to RAM funktioniert über konsole und KDE damit einwandfrei, jedoch suspend to DISC nicht (rechner wird nicht wach) , was aber egal ist, denn ich habe die Funktion (suspend to Disc) ausgeschaltet.

Soll das wirklich meine lösung dein ), mal sehen ob der rechner nun abstürzt...

-f ist schon der richtige Parameter. Gibt aber noch ein paar mehr. Kommt auch auf die Grafikkarte an.

Nvidia:

-f  wie Du es eingestellt hat

Intel Graphics Chipsets

-f -a3", even when using vesafb framebuffer. If " -f -a3" does not work (for example on Dell machines), often " -f -p -m" works well.

Newer intel Xorg drivers seem to have problems with "-s" (VBE_SAVE), so "-m" (VBE_MODE) should be used if at all possible with them.

ATI Graphics Chipsets

Lately many machines i came across with ATI Radeon graphics chipsets did not work with any framebuffer (usually they hung inside the BIOS, not even capslock did work after trying to resume). They often worked fine with "vga=0" and " -f -p -m" or " -f -p -s".

For Problems with s2ram wakeup with the fglrx-driver 8.32.xx please get an update to 8.34.xx
