glad filesoups back up - props to
geeker, snookered, and snakey for getting the site back
up! alright, theres a ton of updates that have happened to the ak nova, right now the current version is 1.8.4 (not available for download, still testing). new features: open tracker (admin interface, custom logging system) ip logging system (handwrote by me) massively improved ban function (complete lockout, including rejection from tracker) shoutbox (includes administration) bitbucket (image hosting - kinda like tb but very different) news system (still working on the admin interface) REPORTING SYSTEM! password system (and better upload.php) updated details page - now contains minimizable material some htaccess stuff: URL REWRITES (95% of the website has been converted) error handling (premade 400-500 error pages). /announce and /scrape handling instead of /announce.php and /scrape.php more security in the adm/ folder. another thing worth mentioning is upload.php sql injection. it occurs when fixation an apostraphe in the description. this affects ALL T-XORE version as well! find: CODE
$description =
strip_tags(trim($_POST['info'])); replace with: CODE
$description =
addslashes(trim($_POST['info'])); there is also a huge bug in the rss.php, i recommend removing it asap! and lastly, i think i can safely say my forums are now completely dead, so dont bother checking up there anymore id appreciate it if someone could send me a legacy (unmodified) version of the aknova (1.7.5) so i can host it elsewhere for download. thanks nat98! i'll leave it here for
now, and put it up on filexoom! it just sucks how i lost the older
version, i keep a folder of previous releases on my computer but that
version just didnt seem to be in there. im also trying to get most of the
scripts i had hosted on my forums onto filexoom as
well. [edit>] new 'sourceforge' page. @revolution i dont have msn anymore, ive watched how hotmail loads images from about 16 different sites, mostly being 2o7.net i have taken the t-xore 0.0.1 version check and implemented it for the ak nova. make sure to add a link into the admin menu in config.php. forgot to add this to the original
post with the sql injection: open up details.php, find: CODE
$showfiles =
str_replace..... $description = ......... add between: CODE
$description = stripslashes($description); this should strip the slashes from the description so it shows up as 'test' instead of \'test\". This post has been edited by phrostwave: Jun 18 2007, 08:56 PM |

i have been working all of tonight on
cleaning up some of the leftover code. the main obstacles are decoding the
open tracker info (it inserts pure bencoded data), and securing the
shoutbox a bit more. the only things im not interested in fixing at the
moment is the rss.php bug; it will most likely not be included with this
release - and besides, who REALLY needs rss anyway? i hope to have this code out by the end of this week. i say hopefully because i have a courtdate tomorrow, and im going to be up against 3 uk based record labels (that have offices in the US) that are on suit-fest steroids. dont ever run an internet radio station guys, its just not worth it |

No Problems, nothing i want, just
want to say that i pay respect to you for making that mods for those who
are not able to do them by themselves. I think that should be said
sometimes to keep the Motivation up. I sometimes get some inspiration from your work. As i try to learn by looking and understanding the code and then maybe do a little bit "fine tune". Keep it up buddy. -------------------- http://www.torrents-and-more.to |
