Can anybody help me with the ffmpeg install?
I use: Centos 4.4 Final running non-graphic.

I get this:

mpegvideo.c: In function `MPV_encode_picture':
/root/ffmpeg/libavutil/common.h:605: sorry, unimplemented: inlining failed in call to 'lrintf': redefined extern inline functions are not considered for inlining

there probably are plugins for your media player to rip the streams or dedicated rippers out there, im not sure of any but im pretty sure they are out there.

It should be simple to allow multiple streams just add a pulldown menu with a list of diffrent ports to stream over.. If you look through the source you should easily work out how to add that, I may do that sometime soon, but can't just at the moment

hehe, you tested it already ?
had in mind making it multi-stream-compatible but well.. skipped it as i cannot test things at all as i dont have vlc on my box. (and gave up compiling it)
(multi-stream is still possible by (function)-design... it is just some work to do)

I did do a quick test and found it not to work, I don't have much time to find out why just yet so ill do that later tonight. I had a quick look at what had been loaded with ps (it looked fine) so not too sure yet till i have a propper look Tongue

I did not though that you didn't include a streaming status message, I found that if you start more than one stream at once it can cause problems so thats why my version has the status message, although for a small amount of users that would be ok i guess.

Because so many people are having problems with vlc I might package up a binary for everyone to download I know it can be a pain to get it working lol

unsure what you mean here with status message, my code has everything yours had and more (and a bit cleaned Wink)
(eg if you mean the message "foo is currently streaming", thats in)

sounds good as then maybe i can test the whole feature myself Smiley
